What would make makeup brushes better? What ways have you found helps to prevent water from getting into the bristle area to prevent them from falling off? Thank you.

What works for me is baby soap. Put some baby soap on a wet paper towel and twirl your brush around in the soap. It's gentle but effective.

I don't usually wash my brushes, I prefer to clean and desinfect them with a brush cleaner like the parian spirit (I use a maqpro one, fantastic). This is really good if you have good quality brushes that are not tinted or wax coates, as those can lose their colour or get dry from the cleaner. Anyway, it s perfect, they are instatly super clean and bacteria-free. Never had any problem doing this.
