Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄

Okay, so tomorrow I shall have my first ever beauty blender! Yay! I have heard that when they're new the dye can leak out. If I wash it before I use it should this prevent this from happening?

Yes, I've never had problems with mine but using a brush cleaner or face wash to clean it should get out the extra dye so nothing transfers.

You may notice a bit of pink dye leaving the sponge when you wet and squeeze, but that wears off after a few days/weeks

Hailey, It should be fine. Maybe not a spot cleaner though, because I don't think it would do anything.
