Any tips on preserving an auburn hair color? I am dying my hair on the 7th. Do you have any tips on preserving the color besides not washing everyday? Any recommended products?

I highly suggest matrix biolage, it's about $15 at Wal-Mart altogether.

Honestly, I haven't found anything that preserves this colour at it's best. What colour is your hair now? My hair was blonde beforehand and the colour I use will only stay for about a week or two before it's completely faded back to an ash blonde colour.

Sorry for the awkwardness but this is the color. Sometimes a bit less of a red color, sometimes more of a blonde. I'm getting it professionally done so hopefully that doesn't happen!

I assume it'll take longer to fade if a professional is doing it. They should use a protein filler anyway if your hair has previously been lightened/bleached so the colour will hold :)
