It is hard to explain haha.. Hmm. For warm colors, the colors of red, orange, and yellow are considered warm colors because they are the colors of fire and warmth. They're very vibrant? These hues are also said to advance, meaning they appear to come forward. For cool, blues, green, and violet are considered cool colors. When you think of a cool lake or ice covered pond, you see cool colors. They're not as advanced, and are very "soft" in color I suppose you could say. Look at the color wheel to determine colors that are of the warm and cool families.
