I'm 17 and am not new to make up but I definitely am when it comes to applying foundation. The only make up I put on is eyeliner and mascara. I really want to start wearing foundation to cover up my imperfections. My skin is kind of dry and I do have acne. I was hoping someone could help me explain to me the application process or at least get started with it.

Well I'm no expert I started wearing foundation just last year but this is what I do. Moisturize, apply primer, and I use a brush that looks like this and apply the foundation. Then I use concealer ( I suggest maybelline fit me) for blemishes and under eyes :) hope I helped haha 💁

Oh and I use a circular motion while I'm applying it.

I'd recommend you to use a sponge, personally I prefer the real techniques sponge to the beauty blender , but that's just me. (also a lot cheaper and durable). For your acne I'd try to use a nice oil free foundation, perhaps the Neutrogena foundation as it won't make your acne flare up. For under the eyes try a liquid concealer, my favorite drugstore pick is NYX's concealer wand. Also , you should probably set your makeup with a setting powder (: (((tip: use a little blush to give your face some dimension and to avoid washing out all your features with the foundation))

This is what I use, like you I have dry skin and this works well for me the true blend foundation has really good coverage and I blend it using the foundation brush, then I used my cover up and blend with the concealer brush then I use the true blend pressed powder and apply it with the powder brush to set everything, both the foundation and powder are cover girl and the concealer is Rimmel wake me up.
