Estee Lauder double wear was great for me when my skin was really dry I used smashbox primer underneath. I would exfoliate before applying so I didn't have horrible dry crusty spots.

I have dry skin and use a primer every time. I love the original Smashbox primer. I like Loreal True Match, Makeup Forever HD Foundation, and the Bare Minerals Bareskin Foundation. I moisturize really well and then put on my primer. It really helps in these dry winter months!

Yes, totally agree with Samantha R. I actually put moisturizer on face, wait for it to be totally absorbed.. might get dressed, then moisturize again, wait for it to be absorbed, then maybe BB cream and then Format foundation, applied with a Beauty Blender.

I have really dry skin and I use studio sculpt from mac. It comes in a tube and I believe is gel based. It's like a cream. Feels great on the skin, lasts seriously ALL day and hides the dryness. Totally recommend. It lasts forever as well. I've had my tube for 4 months I believe

I have super dry skin too! but I would suggest using a moisturizing primer before or mix it with your foundation. I use Maybillene fit me foundation and an NYC primer
