I despise color charts based on skintone when it comes to eyeshadow and lipsticks especially. They are so limiting in my opinion. I'm dark and brownish reds age me. I have colors from every spectrum. The best advice is to explore...go with affordable drugstore lippies first so if its not exactly a hit you won't be out of a ton of money and if you live in the States you can return cosmetics at Walgreens and CVS (just be sure to save your receipt ). Some great drugstore brands to check out...Wet n Wild MegaLast line (a few shades are MAC dupes), Rimmel and Maybelline. That's the best part about makeup...exploring. ;)

I'd after agree that color charts might not be the best as light colors and neutrals make me look dead since I'm pale. I look better with more contrast like bright pinks and reds.
