Mousse/hair product help??

Okay, so the world of actual hair products is completely new to me. I got some mousse as a gift and have no idea what to do with it. I have long straight-ish hair btw.

From what I know, mousse acts kind of like a volumizing gel, but with a more natural look. When you get out of the shower dry your hair a bit with a towel just so its damp& not soaking wet, then apply it starting from the tips up, don't go right to your roots, but just about an inch or two from them, finger comb it through or use a wide tooth comb if you'd like but I prefer using my fingers, when the product's pretty evenly separated everywhere start scrunching up your hair :) it should make your hair wavy and beachy looking! There's different ways to use it but I'd say thats probably the main way. Hope I helped!

Also if you want braid it loosely and when it dries or gets close to drying let it out and it'll look pretty too :)
