I've heard that you can't leave pure coconut oil in your hair if you use a home product. You can only leave coconut oil in if it's in a package that says it's for hair. everything else you have to wash out. Is this true? Hopefully that made sense:)

^^ I've been using it for ages in my hair care routine and it really works wonders! You can make a hair mask mixing honey and coconut oil 50/50 and putting it in your hair, leave it in for as long as possible and wash your hair and your hair will be <3 and you can also add a few drops of essential oil (lavender for dandruff) to make your hair smell lovely :)

The jar of coconut oil I have doesn't say anything about it being for hair, just that's it's 100% organic coconut oil, mine doesn't have a sweet smell like I was expecting and at first I was skeptical it was even working, I used it 3 times in the first week of having it and let me just say, it works. My hair isn't frizzy anymore since using it which is a big plus for me lol :)

You can definitely use pure coconut oil in your hair, but if you use too much it will get too greasy. The one "made for your hair" probably has a lot of biproduct in it or fillers that make it cheaper than organic or 100%, but not as beneficial.

I use coconut oil all the time! I was told my my hairdresser not to put it in your roots of your hair just through it and make sure you don't put more than you need.
