Need lipstick color help - please!!

I want to wear lipstick: preferably red lipstick. I know how to apply it but looking for the right color is hard. It's either too pink, too orange, or too dark. I want to wear a bright cherry red and I would like to know if I can even pull that look off. Any input, advice, & tips would be great 😊
