Hair volumising tips?

I have very fine hair and really struggle to get a good amount of volume into it! I have tried the usual things like rollers, using mousse etc.to give it some body but it just doesn't work! Any help or tips as to how to even get a bit of lift and volume in my hair would be much appreciated!
