I am also NC 42, I'm subscribed to a YouTube guru who is the same shade and she wears Golden Caramel so I got it and it's a perfect match! :)

You could mix the lighter and darker to get your own custom color. Or just use the lighter and put some darker concealer and mix together too.

Do you have oily or dry skin? Enlarged pores?

I really like Benefit Porefressional, and the Lorac Porefection Mattifying primer for controlling oil and minimizing pores. And I also like the Make Up For Ever HD primer in Yellow for brightening. :)

Benefit Porefessionals, Too Faced Primed and Poreless, Sephora (I don't know what name but it says something for oil, like mattifying) and NYX & Rimmel's Fix and Perfect are pretty good too. As for Bronzers I like Too Faced, Benefit, and Nars.
