Bridal makeup foundation help!

Hi all, I'm getting married in less than a week and decided to do my own makeup. I'm pretty good and have a decent arsenal of products. My main issue is my skin. It's increddibly oily and makeup just doesn't last long for me. I generally use Revlon color stay for oily skin for daily use but I'd like reccomendations for anything else that will last but still has a good matte full coverage, no spf and will photograph well? Also a good primer suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Honestly, since your wedding is so close I would stick to what you know works for you. You don't want to try out a new product that winds up breaking you out right before your big day. I would just use the colorstay like you nornally do and touch up with powder throughout the night.

Even though your wedding is close, you DO need a new product because if I recall, color stay has SPF in it. Go to Sephora and look at the Laura Mercier's. I can't remember which because it's been a while since I worked there, but her line is made for photography also and most of her foundations DON't have any SPF and photograph beautifully. She has a LOT of different options too. I remember there was actually a concealer she had that looked like a powder compact. Katy Perry used to use it as a full coverage foundation and I did too (and I'm oily and makeup usually never lasts long on me), and I adored it as a foundation.

I don't believe color stay has spf but eithet way thank you Kristin. It's not something that will last through my wedding day, because of my oily skin. It's a good everyday foundation for me but I need something to control the shine.

I don't get flashback from colorstay but I use the normal to dry skin version so I would stick with something you know works for you as Maressa suggested. Otherwise I'm pretty sure one of the formulas of Estee Lauder Double Wear has no spf...the double wear light if I'm not mistaken.

I would suggest a primer meant to control oil as well. Smashbox photofinish or Coverfx both have ones that get great reviews. Urban decay de-slick spray is an option as well:)

I use Kat Von D's lock it foundation. It's thick and full coverage. If applied with a beauty blender you can control the coverage and be sure not to end up looking cakey. There is one other foundation that I use on clients going on photo shoots but for the life of me I can't remember the name. It's available at sephora. When I get to the salon tomorrow I'll look at the bottle and tell you. It was made for photography and I find it works great. Also, try a setting spray. My urban decay setting spray always holds my makeup in place. I'll get back to you about that foundation!

If your willing to drop some money then try hourglass immaculate foundation. it's pretty much the most amazing foundation for oily skin. my face looks exactly the same at 8pm as it did at 10 am. blush and everything is still in tact. it's expensive but so worth it.

Makeup Forever HD! That's the one I couldn't think of. It works awesome for photography. I'm not aware of its potential to stay put or not, but it definitely looks great in pics. That is what is made for.

I like covergirl 3 in 1 stay fabulous. It's matte and lasts well. I would wear a primer underneath and using a setting spray between steps when doing you makeup. Ex: foundation and concealer, spray, powder blush and bronzer and then spray again. And touch up with powder or blotting sheets.
