Do you put any products in it after you wash?

She may be putting in come moisture to help her keep it defined. Frizz is usually hair needing moisture, maybe try a moisturizing cream after you shower?

I usually just wash it and go. I have the shea curl defining cream would that do anything since my hair is so short?

Yes you should put some on even if your hair is short
The lady's hair has defined curls so she most likely styled her hair with some cream like yours

I have very curly hair. Use 'it's a ten' with the moisture in it, it will help rid the frizz. I also use different curl definers. Intense moisture is key!
