This happens to me every time I want to just use concealer. Makes me look like I have 3 different skin tones. Just use a BB cream than apply a bit of concealer that way your base will be one even color. Does that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't.

You're getting the wrong shade for your skin tone, also sounds like you're getting one with the wrong undertone.

Megan, that is most definitely the incorrect undertone for you, based on the photo. It appears more yellow than your natural skin tone. Do you know your correct undertone or no?

I'm sorry but it doesn't look like the right color match for your skintone from the picture. it seems around 3 shades lighter. your undertone looks yellow, but the shade looks lighter.

I would suggest going into a Sephora to get color matched.

Its hard to tell what matches you from the drugstore.

You have to try as much concealer as you can in a sephora for example. I would suggest the nars creamy radiant concealer (good coverage, doesn't look cakey if well applied with your finger, doesn't crease I like it a lot, worth the money), bare minerals, mac.

The color matching is free, don't worry:) they'll give you a code and it'll tell you the undertone of your skin. This is cool because the next time you go into the drugstore for a more affordable concealer, a lot of the time now these concerts and foundations list the kind if undertone it is. This will help a lot the next time you're looking for a foundation or concealer:)

Y is yellow, R is red, and n is neutral.

Try using moisturizer as a base since you don't want to use foundation and then apply the concealer you have and then put powder all over your face

Hi Megan!
The ladies above are definitely correct, it does not match your undertone at all.
Undertone is the underlying base of your skin color, an undertone can be Olive, Yellow, Golden Orange, Pink, or a warm Brown color.
Because it is difficult to determine your skin tone based on Photography alone, due to lighting. I recommend going to Sephora and ask to be Color Matched.
You don't have to purchase any products, and you will be asked for your email as well as given a list of what foundations/concealers match you.
From there, you can go ahead and swatch the concealers and foundations that are matched and this will allow you to see what color your concealer/foundation will be. It's a totally neat trick for beginners!

If you're going for an undereye highlight look, it'd be okay. not on blemishes, because it doesn't blend in with your skin.
