I am aspiring to become a makeup artist. I'm not sure what brands and items to start my kit with? I use Mac for myself but I imagine having all their products doesn't help your pockets! Are there any brands I should look out for that see affordable for a new artist's kit? Any must haves? I know the type of tools you need. And Lashes but I don't know what products or primers and the varieties really to get. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you in advance.

For my kit I got the premium sigma brush set.
For my shadows I made my own pallets from Mac
And for lashes I go to downtown LA and get 12 for $10
For lip pencils I use nyx

There's tons of helpful articles on beautylish about this! I think they're called building your kit! I need to start doing this myself 😪 hardest part I've found is looking for foundation palettes and such

Bekah , EBay has pretty decent foundation palettes! I'm not sure on the quality and also there is a company on Instagram called "the dollhouse co" and they have a starter kit
