Scrunched hair! Help!!

So I need to know which works better, mouse or beach spray. I want my hair to look scrunched and wavy. But not poofy. My hair is naturally poofy and I want to be able to tame that. I will be sleeping with one of these products in my hair tonight. So which one is better? Mouse or beach spray?? Help!!

A lot of people like the bumble and bumble sea salt spray! Or the living proof texture mist. If you want to try a mist for beach sprays they are really popular. Not crunchy!

I prefer products that are labeled as curl refining.
