So I dyed my hair this greenish blue before Halloween and I want to go back to brown. I washed it out a lot. Can I just dye it with a brown hair dye? Or will it turn some funky color?

Do you have a pic.

It will work you but you may not cover up all the green to begin with but after you have dyed it 2 or 3 times it should go, you just get a greent tint haha.

You can just dye over it.

It may leave a subtle tint, though.

Did you bleach your hair before you put the greenish dye or did you just out it over your hair?

*put cause if you bleached it first the color may come up through the brown but if you didn't bleach then it will more than likely get colored.

Try removing as much dye as you can. Use harsh shampoos, wash more frequently. If you're in a hurry, wash with dish soap, lather it all over and leave on for 20 minutes or so. Once it's a pastel or mostly gone get a red toned brown to cancel out the green, or get a red dye and mix a few drops into conditioner or shampoo and use it like a toner for blonde hair. It'll cancel out the green.
