If you are desperate maybe tie the cloth thing to one of those long shower (lufa?) sponges on sticks and use a mirror?? Sorry I don't use self tan so I'm not sure how it works.

I agree with the other girls, get someone else to do it... Especially someone who has had experience with putting fake tan on :3.
