I love dresses like that! I agree, tights (sweater if it's cold, sheer for a dressier look), booties, and a leather jacket if needed, preferably in a color other than black. I think any well-fitting jacket (like a blazer, but not that cut/material) with a pop of color flatters dresses like that really well.

Definitely go with tights and ankle or tall boots I would go with the ankle maybe in a grey or tan color

Yes! Like all above, you can also add a comfy white cardigan, maybe knitted.
