This is hard. I have and love both of them. It depends what you are going for and what kind of makeup you like to wear. The vice palette is great if you enjoy daring, bold, or colorful looks. It is a good palette for those who like to play around with their makeup a bit. If you are more of a natural or smokey look kind of girl than I would say go with the Smashbox palette. It has more of your toned down/neutral shades in it. As far as quality, quantity, and price they are about the same!

Urban decay is great so is smash box it really depends on your style UD has a lot of shimmers and bold colors were smashbox is on the more subtle side it's really personal preference and the look your going for

I've never tried Smashbox but I love Urban Decay and I've been using the vice palette non-stop since I got it. You can always return one you don't like though. Or go in to Sephora and see them in person and swatch a few of the colors and compare them.

urban decay had a lot of shimmer and metallics. smashbox has a mixture of mattes and shimmer. you should test out the shadow quality at sephora :D
