Hi. What illuminating products do you recommend for that glowing look? I live in a very dry climate and even oil based makeup looks matte. Thank you.

I live in a similar climate and I like wearing L'oreal lumi primer under my foundation. I also use MAC soft and gentle to highlight.

I've been going crazy for Guerlain Meteorite Pearles in #4 Dore & LE Perles D'Etoile from the holiday collection. Most times I apply it all-over (lightly). Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Luminous and Radiant Light are also in rotation. I also like Kevin Aucoin illuminating powder in candlelight. I'm a fan of powders versus creams as I have a better control with powder.

The Balms Mary lou manizer and Lorac perfectly lit are my faves for powder. Haven't found the perfect liquid yet but Benefit high beam is pretty good.

I like to get a glow with YSL Touché Éclat- it's pricey but it gives a beautiful sheen without sparkle if you prefer a subtle glow. Not as good as YSL, but the L'Oreal Magic Lumi pen is very pretty. For a highlight, Becca illuminators are gorgeous. I will sometimes apply foundation to my nose and forehead, then mix a drop of luminator into the rest of my foundation. So my t-zone isn't too shiny. The Becca powders are pretty as well. Nars Albatross is another favorite- it reads so different on the skin- it's a subtle golden pearl even though it looks white in the pan.

I just tried the Loreal magic lumi primer mixed with my Revlon colorstay today and my skin looked so radiant I am hooked now. I still used it as a primer on my lids and used a bit of highlighter on tops of cheekbones and down my nose/Cupid bow and it was still perfect. Not too over the top or anything.
