I have been using coconut oil for 2 months now, and it's amazing!
I leave it on over night but I do put a lot to where my hair looks a little wet.. then I make a braid & wash next day.
I sometimes do it 2 times a week.. The more you use it the better your hair will be, that's what I noticed. I also massage my scalp everyday before bed..

Does anyone else use it? What do you do?. ^_^ feel free to share any other oils.

Nikki you'll love it!!

Appi I seen that my hair was more silky and smoother, it repairs the hair from damage, more shiny, and with my hair I saw that I had to put a little more after because out absorbs the oil..
So my application process is: I part my hair into pieces and add the oil.. you can melt it in the microwave or rub it on your hands.. then after I added everything I apply again because because like I said it absorbs the oil, then massage my scalp for a bit and brush really well everywhere and put a little pressure on the brush so it can massage more and untangle while brushing and do a braid.. sounds long but it's not.! lol
you can either do a braid or put a shower cap on and let it set in there.

and also my hair isn't so dry anymore! ^_^ and it's way longer, I noticed doing those things my hair growth did go faster than usual because that doesn't happen.

I've tried coconut oil several times and it actually dried my hair out more afterwards. 😞

I've always wanted to try this because my hair is getting quite dry lately because of dying it. I just don't know about leaving it in over night I feel like it would make a mess all over my pillow :p.

Damn don't use coconut oil Harlyn! /_\

@Raylene I guess its everyone's own reaction?

@Shauna lol Yessss it is a mess, the first time I left it overnight. >_< but that's why I bought a thick shower cap.! it helps keeping thw oil inside.

@M G, Yeaa! it helps a lot! after I dyed my hair it was damaged and dry! I used the oil and waalah! lol
I dyed my hair yesterday actually and I obviously put coconut oil on the tips so it can soak up and won't be so dry.! I'm in love with it!

Shauna I usually do the application at night, braid my hair, then sleep with an old beanie hat on to prevent the oil from getting on my pillowcase.

My bff's Greek grannie used to brush olive oil into her hair every night and still had incredibly long and healthy hair into her 80s. I have used coconut oil this way for end repairs. There is a macademia nut oil hair repair creme you can buy at Target. That might give similar results to coconut as it is also a saturated fat oil.
