I agree with the black because it is just neutral. I actually have done my nails a lot and made up my own designs. If you're interested I could give you some ideas! I recently have short nails so I'm right there with you, but I found some that could also be kid appropriate that may entertain her as well!

I have also done this one, which could work for wider long or short nails. I love this one. It's more for warmer seasons or areas, but I think they're cute!

I have done this one mixed with the one above. These could be all over the nails and all of the nails, but either way it's sweet. It may look pretty difficult, but as long as you have a steady hand, it'll look fine! I suggest looking up a simple tutorial on this one. I hope I helped!
