I have no idea why this happens: every time I use face makeup, my combo/oily skin gets oily faster, even when I use primer, an oil-free foundation, powder, and Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray! Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do to stop it?

All I can think of is a matifying primer and washing and exfoliating your face more frequently...

No no no. If you exfoliate too much your skin over produces oil and sebum. Use mattifying primer and powder. And oil blotting sheets :)

I'm going to correct Caitlin, do NOT wash your face more frequently or exfoliate more frequently it will make your face more oily! The more you wash and exfoliate your face the more your skin thinks it needs to produce more oil.

I personally find that the problems with "makeup" are usually rooted in problems with SKIN CARE, so I would suggest finding a routine to balance your skin and then your makeup should work fine

I'm trying out different foundations, but at the moment I'm trying the Sephora 10 Hour Wear Perfection foundation. I also use the Neutrogena Shine Control primer on my T-Zone, and the L'Oreal Translucent Mineral Powder.

I agree with codi go to your skin care routine and pick a gel formula opposed to something abrasive. I used to live in Miami and my face would look like a fish bowl (ew I know) basically I stopped using SPF moisturizers and any liquids on my face I kept to MINIMAL use of MAC full coverage foundation on discolored areas but powder was my BFF
