Maybe some kind of modern gothic Lolita style maybe?

To put that together, I would probably get japanese/Korean style clothing, but get them in black/red/punk colors.

Those are both a little too costumish for my type :/

Yeah that's kind of the point of gothic Lolita, but I mean the general sense of this style.

Maybe you could go into more detail of what your looking for?

I definitely suggest looking into Gothic Lolita. One warning. Lolita can be expensive and takes a lot of time. As a Lolita you dress your best always. Your hair clothing makeup everything has to be on point.

I really know nothing about this but have you looked up the start of Kawaii? It's start was basically Japan's punk rebellious phase, which is sorta funny. I don't know why I thought you would want to know this... I'm sorry.

^ I agree with Sarah. Gothic Lolita doesn't necessarily have to be as costumish as the pictures Mari posted, but you really can't half-ass this style. It's a go big or go home type of style, if you don't put the time or effort into it it will definitely show.

Gothic Lolita takes a lot of time and effort, my friend has pretty much devoted her life to being a "princess" as she calls herself and spends a good 3 hours a day on her makeup, hair and clothes. I'd do go for pun k style with girly twists.

I don't think the second one was too costumish. They were just ideas for you to build on. But I do believe the style requires lots of effort so if you want, go for it! (:
