Hello girlies!! Hope your all having a fab weekend. I need a new matte foundation for yellow undertone skin which is preferably oil free as I break out easily. Which would you choose out of the two?? Xxx maybe illamasqua?? Xxx

You mentioned needing a matte foundation...GA Luminous sits on the opposite end of the spectrum. Its not a matte formula and transfers like crazy so you need a great setting powder for that one. NARS Sheer Matte is ok but if you're trying to cover multiple skin sins (scars) it might not be a great fit. As far as the undertone concern...GA is really sketchy when it comes to undertones. I use his Maestro foundation and while the shade I have has a lil yellow to it the next shade up that I would need for summer is too red. And the color below the shade I have is too beige. So I'm stuck with only one shade. NARS has a mix of various undertones but at least its not as frustrating as GA. I have oily/combo skin with yellow undertone...in my stash I have Laura Mercier Flawless Fluide and it gives me a nice soft matte finish. Most mattes for me give off a flat look (no dimension) while LM makes my skin look like SKIN with a light matte finish...if that makes sense. The coverage isn't as light as NARS Sheer Matte so it covers some sins but not all (dependent on how dark the scarring is). Its oil free and it has not caused me any breakouts at all. Illamasque...I really can't comment on that line except for the shadows, blushes and lip colors so I hope maybe someone can answer that one for you. ;)

Thankyou Sandy and Shelley. My skin has improved since I started paying attention to it and investing in ingredient focused products just stuck on what foundation to go for. I don't need massive coverage just for it to be oil free matte and suitable for Asian skin with yellow undertone x

If you want a matte foundation with full coverage, try MUFE Mat Velvet +. If you want sheer, buildable coverage, MUFE Face & Body is one of the most versatile foundations and has low transfer. MUFE seems to have a lot of shades and undertone choices.
