Well, if long hair is in your genetics then yes I'd assume so I too cone from a family with healthy long thick hair in genetics and everyone I cut my hair it takes at least a year and a half to grow back down to my butt (it's been at my butt since I was like 4 no joke haha)..it'll take a while, though, and you need to keep it in good condition(trims regularly, not damaging it with excessive heat it dying). however if you bleached or dyed your hair a lot near the roots in the past it couldve likely damaged your hair follicles which has a horrible effect on the growth rate and may not allow your hair to grow regardless of the status of your genetics

I'm sure since it's growing at a decent rate and you're taking care of it, it'll grow indefinitely so don't worry too much. things like growing out your hair usually take time. it's not a For sure thing damaged your hair follicles but obviously possible. it sounds like it's doing just fine though so just be patient
