So for Christmas I'm looking to buy my friend a few high end lipsticks. She loves the dark coloured lipsticks - especially dark raspberry colours. She's interested in MAC lipsticks but if you have any other suggestions that would be great! :)

Under $40 lipstick brands that I love: Urban Decay's Revolution Lipsticks (check out Shame, if she's like a deeper fall color, it's cool toned and generally wonderful), any of the new Nars Audacious Lipsticks, they're all gorgeous but I'm madly in love with Catherine at the moment, it's kind of a pale mandarin orange color. In fact, most of the Nars lipsticks are utterly wonderful. Personal favorite shades include: Heat Wave, Scarlet Empress, Train Bleu, Mexican Rose, Sex Machine and Dolce Vita. I also love the Dior Fluid Sticks, they're such a gorgeous and interesting formula, I really love #369 Artifice.
I could probably go on forever about all of the different types of lipstick I love, but this is probably a good jumping off point.
