How much is a lot? Like chunks of hair? When you grow your hair out and you're not getting it cut all the time it's natural for hair to fall out! It could be your hair breaking off if its dry, in which case you should do a deep conditioning hair treatment about once a week. Otherwise, it has to do with your body's nutrients. Make sure you're taking vitamins, drinking water and eating your vegetables :)

Is it dry. Try sealing your ends and incorporate protein and deep moisturizing treatments into your care routine. I had that problem before and it was due to dryness. Castor oil, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba, aragan, oils are all really great for your hair. Watch out for mineral and petolium because those products can dry hair out. I would also check to see if you have an allergy. there are soy, mint, parabens even peanut oil that causes problems.

On average, your hair sheds about 50-150 strands of hair a day and the amount is different for everyone! Lots of factors can influence that as well - weather, increased heat styling, any chemicals applied to your hair, etc. But most likely, it's normal! Unless it's falling out in clumps or in a concentrated area, you should be fine.
