I've been slowly diving into this. This winter my skin went dry. It's normally oily all year round. I decided to go with what I've researched on health and beauty blogs etc. I first tried Olive Oil since I take my makeup off with it. It didn't really soak into my skin well. Then I tried coconut oil. Oh holy eye shadow did that work! In two days all the try patches were gone. Plus, it took away the redness in my cheeks! My skin looks healthy and glowing. I'd like to know what your experiences are with oils and such. :)

Just regular coconut oil from the store? I've heard great things about doing that. How long have you been using it now? I've been wanting to get done coconut oil for my skin and also castor oil to put on my eyelashes at night to promote faster growth.

I've been using it for a week. I haven't had any reactions. My skin just keeps looking better. I was shocked. Yes, just the kind that comes in a jar for cooking and baking. I love it for taking off my makeup. It takes everything off!

I will post after I try it! Thanks for the info.

Would you guys recommend oils (coconut, I've heard good things about argon as well) for someone with acne prone skin? Mine gets really dry in the winter but still acne prone, and I feel like putting oil on my face would make me break out worse... thoughts?

Here is a really good article to explain the perks! http://simplemom.net/oil-cleansing-method/

Coconut oil is antibacterial and so I think it's better for acne prone skin...it's certainly helped mine

I am in love with coconut oil! I've been using it for a little over a month now on my skin and hair, and let me tell you I will never buy a hair masque again:-) this stuff is amazing!!!! When you shop for it, make sure you buy extra virgin unrefined organic coconut oil. And just two days ago I bought rosehip oil, used for two days only, and its my new addiction! I haven't tried anything better!

I use all-natural products. Almond oil, coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, etc. Natural, pure essential oils are all our hair and skin needs.

Hmmm. I just ran out of Argan, which I love. I tried maracuja but I was unimpressed. I'll have to get some coconut oil!

I'm with you guys about coconut oil. It's amazing and even performs as a mild sunblock. I make an anti aging oil in a base of sweet almond oil to which I add, carrot seed, rose absolute, galbanum, benzoin, frankincense and rosehip oil, it's the perfect night time facial oil.

I have used coconut oil and grapeseed oil, and both work extremely well to make my skin smoother, softer and more radiant. I am oily skinned also, and never had an issue with breakouts.
