If your skin is dry a powder may not be your best bet. Not all bb creams make people break out nor do the ones that make me break out will necessarily break you out. For dry skin you'll probably want either a tinted moisturizer or a bb cream.

Bb cream does not cause acne. It could be the specific product not agreeing with your skin but making a general statement that bb creams make people break out is false.
I use too faced, it's $32 but has lasted me 5 months and isn't empty. I don't have dry skin, more like combination, but still:)

I actually made my own BB cream. All I did was mix a foundation (1-2 shades darker than normal) with moisturizer, benzoyl peroxide, and face sunblock. You could also put primer and concealer. It's so easy. I use it everyday and my friends think I don't wear foundation it's great!

If you want a bb cream for dry skin then you should try garnier's skin renew miracle skin protector bb Cream SPF 15. However if your skin is on the sensitive side then try Dr Jart's water fuse bb beauty balm with SPF 25. Every bb cream has different results. It depends on your skin and what you need. I think these two will really help you out though. And the garnier is cheap as well.
