What is Primer and a Good Inexpensive BB Cream for Fair Skin

Okay, well, I have a few random makeup related questions.
First, what the heck is a primer and why do you use it?
Anyone know of a cheap BB Cream for fair skin?
Cream blush vs. powder blush, what do you think works best?
When I curl my hair, it never stays because I have super thick, long hair, how can I make it stay?

ok first of all, a primer keeps your eyeshadow to stay in place and for longer time:) u have to use it:)
*a cheap bb cream is garnier fructis , i dont use bb creams and i dont know what are they for lol but i know tht*s a cheap one:)
* i like to use powder blush instead because some cream blush have like glitter and i hate the texture it leaves when i put it on:(..
*finally, for ur hair you have to protect it with a heat protector and then put hairspray on ur brush ..

Powder Blush! Never Tried Cream But Powder Is Great! and What You Curl Is Dont Curl Alot Of Hair at Once Curl Little Peices At a Time. If You Get Me, a Good Hairspray Would Help too.

Ok. First off.

Primer. It does what it says. It primes the skin before use of makeup. An all over primer prepares your skin for foundation and stops the foundation from clogging up your pores, as well as using less foundation.
BB cream. Mayballene and L'oreal are both good drugstore brands. I'm currently using l'oreal and I love it (I'm rather fair skinned as well).
Cream/powder. It's honestly a personal preference and depends on the look you're going for. A powder brush will give you a matte finish where as cream will leave you with a soft Dewey look. I personally love cream blushes, and they're always great for photography.
Curls. The best way for your hair to keep its curl is to pin it. When you drop the curl from the iron, roll it back up and pin it to your hair. When all the curls are done wait maybe ten minutes and let them out of the pins. Finish with a soft spray.

I have thick hair 2 and curling doesn't stay but curl your hair often yo train it to curl and try spraying hairspray before and after curling it works for me!

BB creams (short for beauty or blemish creams) are like tinted moisturizers on steroids.They hydrate and even out skin tones; BB creams also treat the skin with antioxidants or other anti-aging ingredients, plus offer broad-spectrum SPF.

Good Questions!
Primer goes on your skin after your moisturizer, before your foundation. It is used to either perfect the texture of the skin (smooth fine lines, fill in uneven texture), color correct, to mattify/hydrate the skin to get a better result with your foundation and and to improve longevity.
BB creams (originally BB stood for blemish balms, or blemish base) are used by some people as a way to include sunscreen, skin treatment, moisture and a sheer wash of tint into one product. The treatments can target dehydrated and dull skin, uneven skin tone and texture, as well as aging skin with fine lines and wrinkles. People will use this either as a tinted moisturizer, or as primer or base for their foundation. I couldn't tell you of a good one for fair skin tones cause I am a medium olive tone at my lightest. = P
Cream Blush is good for people who want a more natural, dewy finish to their skin as opposed to the powdery, sometimes matte finish regular blush provides. Cream blush can be used as a base for powder blush if someone wanted a more dramatic pop of color on their cheekbones. Powder blush can be used by anyone, and it's better for oily skin as it won't add any excess shine to the face.
On the hair part, all I can say is after you flat iron your hair, spray your hair with a really fine hairspray that doesn't have a lot of hold. When my hair was long I use to use L'oreal Elnett Satin hairpsray because it kept the humidity of Kansas summers from making my hair kink into waves without making my hair look dull or feel hard.

I have really fair skin and the maybelline BB cream works well for me! I much prefer powder blush its way easier to apply. After you curl each piece of hair try rolling up the curl and pinning it in place. If you let the curls cool this way they often stay for a lot longer. And if you're looking for a cheap primer to try I recommend the ELF mineral one. They have a couple different colors but I like the radiance one best, they're only $3 too! They also make nice eye primers...

Bb cream is worth spending some money on. I think face products are worth it and really important to use quality. A lot of drugstore bb creams aren't really bb cream, they're just tinted moisturizer, they don't have all the benefits of an actual bb cream. That said, if you are using a proper bb cream, that will act as your primer. I use too faced and love it. It's $32 and a little goes a long way. I bought mine at the beginning of August and its probably going to need to be replaced soon- but that's 5 months so far. Very worth it.

I used a cream blush stick the other day and I usually use powder.. It just depends on the look you're going for and personal preference. I usually buy powder but I liked the stick I got in sephora's in the glow kit (9 blush, bronzer, or highlighting products from diff companies).

Primers are ment for keeping things in place. There are face primers, eye primers, lip primers, and hair primers. Its optional. The Maybelline BB Cream is less than $10 and doesnt disappoint most ( 5 shades). I personally dont wear much blush but it seems like cream blush is better for dry skin and winter and powder blush is better for oily skin and summer. Maybe a hair primer would help it stay? It may be a waste of money though. Hairspray usually helps. (:
