I was at a pretty wild wedding last night and I need to look civilised for a barbecue in a while so I thought I'd share my tips for looking like a person again after a heavy night of alcohol.
Alcohol will make your skin look dull, tired and older and the goal is to basically do the same steps you'd do to make skin look young and radiant. Use a good light dewy foundation and concealer, you really don't want a lot of heavy products, especially matte, showing off all your dry patches, wrinkles and creases. You want to look youthful and like you woke up with your skin glowing.
Highlight wherever you want. Use a pinky or peachy blush to give you a lifelike flushed effect. I used coral because it looks most natural and pretty on my skintone. Use as lottle powder as possible. I only powdered my nose and forehead and used a setting spray everywhere else. I used a heavier concealer on my eyelids and etched out my crease. I took w.o.s from the naked palette and highlighted my brow bone, inner corner and Along the part over my upper lashline. I don't know if the last one is a thing but it makes my eyes look brighter I think. I took faint and went over my lower lash line then I lined my waterline with white eyeliner. I used the dior lipstick because its glossy and pink enough to brighten my skin but not dramatic enough to look over the top.
I hope this helps someone who's having a rough day too and needs to look alive lol

You look really lovely! That lip colour is gorgeous!

Definitely bearing your tips in mind, it's the bank holiday weekend for me so I'll definitely need these tricks in the morning and probably when I go back into work on Tuesday :P

Great tips!! You look fabulous and not hungover at all! A great video for this is also the "Morning after makeup" by Lisa Eldridge. You'll love it :)

Thank you girls, on the inside I'm dying lol
Becky J, Enjoy! Bank Holidays are the best, I'd say the town will be packed. You'll be fine if you stay away from matte (except on eyes), thats really the main thing haha
Kendra H, thank you, I've way too much practice with it haha what age are you? :)

She's the best!! I hope you feel better soon! I take effervescent vitamin C when I'm hungover. it really works for me :) maybe an alka seltzer too and I'm feeling good again!

I took some omegas and Anadin but I think I'm too far gone past the point of return at this stage lol. Just need a nice ole fry up and a lie down and I'll be fine. The Irish are built for hangovers :P some people say yops cure a hangover but the thought of drinking a yoghurt sounds disgusting
Thank you very much Hollie!

You look great! And I'm so thankful of this post! I had exactly the same as you last night and now have another party tonight, and I look awful, so this will definitely help. Thank you x

Ugh its the worst isn't it Divanshi? All you want to do is curl up and sleep not socialise again haha I'm sure you look better than you think you do though :)

Ew no I wouldn't drink yogurt when I'm hungover either :/ I haven't been hungover in a LONG time now though, I just learned hold my alcohol pretty well and I don't go overboard often...it has happened, but the next day I normally feel great. Don't ask me how this happens, but I'm glad :/

(I have a bit of Irish in me too!! lol - I know that in Ireland people hate it when Americans say they're Irish lol! but I'm a big ole mix of different nationalities)
Also, water REALLY helps!!

Yeah, I normally don't drink because I can't help but go hard when I do haha I can handle it really well and be fine that night, but the next day I just feel awful. I think I'm allergic to vodka because I wake up and my nose is basically closed it's so blocked lol
I don't mind people saying they have Irish in them, because it's just a thing you'd say naturally when someone says they're Irish. I can't speak for all for Ireland but I think it's when the connection is so distant or they are just saying they are Irish, not part Irish, that bothers us.
You're from Italy right? I'd love to live there for a while. I love the laid back attitude
Water does help. So does greasy food and coke and tea haha

I'll keep those in mind for next time, although I'm off coca cola.
Yeah, I live in Italy, near Venice. My mom's from Michigan (Irish, Polish, German and Scottish- needless to say, she's a blondie with blue eyes and freckles!) and my dad's Italian, half of his family is Northern and half is Southern-a big difference- and he looks Southern, with his NW45 skin..lol! So that's why I don't look Irish at all...all those dominant genes from my dad!!

I was in Ireland for the first time this year and I'm totally in love!! I met some of the most beautiful people, inside and out!!

Wow lots of different countries in you! That's great though, more reason to travel :)
I only have Irish in me as far back as I can go on both sides so my genealogy is pretty boring.
Where did you go? Yeah it's a beautiful country alright. I couldn't live anywhere else too long haha
