The only way to get rid of split ends it to get your hair cut. The longer you wait the more your hair will split.

Mayonnaise!!!!! Just put it in your hair leave it on an hour or to and your dry damaged hair should look better but well it can prevent split ends but once a split ends occurs it can't be reversed

trim your hair & always use a heat protector before using any heat towards your hair, & NEVER apply heat to wet hair. I use paul mitchelle skinny serum

Coconut oil. Leave it on for 30 min or so and rinse out. If you have fine hair use a tiny amount of shampoo to wash out.

My hair has also got worse lately and i dont understand why, i only heat style it once a week if i go somewhere nice, i only tie it up for work. I had my hair cut on monday and i was sat in the chair saying 'but i can still see split ends' and the hairdresser (who happens to be my best friend) wouldnt cut it shorter cos she knew id hate it even more. She recommended the Wella SP Repair line and says anything from a drugstore is really bad for your hair as it only covers up the problem rather than helping.

I write such long comments on here i forget to get to the actual point, im in a chatty mood.
On thursday i made this, i didnt follow a recipe so i can only guess at the amounts i used.
A generous palm sized amount of cheap conditioner (only used as a filler).
2 table spoons of honey.
3 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil.
Mix together in a plastic bowl and heat up in a saucepan of water.
Dont let the actual mixture boil as this is bad for the honey, just hot enough to touch. It looked a bit gross at first like it hadnt mixed properly but as it cooled i carried on mixing and it looked like a proper hair mask. I tasted it, it was gross, but i just had to know, i cant resist honey haha.
Put it on your head like a normal conditioner and try to avoid your roots.
I let mine sit while i waxed my legs and other general girl stuff.
My hair was soo soft and shiny i was quite impressed with my self as i had visions of the honey making my head a sticky mess.
Next time im going to make it without conditioner and instead add other oils like almond and coconut.

My hair is quite thick so i would adjust times to suit cos if your hair is thin it wont need to sit for nearly as long as mine did. I'll shut up now :)

Add coconut oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, and Organix Awapuhi ginger hair mask together and its amazing on my hair. Also, you can rinse with rosemary ( boil some water with lots of rosemary for five minutes, let cool for thirty, strain out rosemary and keep water in a container, rinse hair tada) only thing is rosemary will make your hair a little darker if used a lot but once or twice a moth wont change

I have the same issue where I will cut my hair and shortly after, even if I hardly apply heat to it, my hair will have split ends or be very dry. I've tried many things, I find that heating up some coconut oil and a small amount of honey and applying it to the ends works. Also a lot of people don't realize how much their overall health affects their hair. Drinking water, getting the proper nutrients, being active, and just eating well work wonders. The last thing I found that has a major affect is supplements. I got into the habit of taking aces of zinc and a health oil called udo's choice and there is a noticeable difference.

There is no way to heal, repair or mend split ends, the only way you can get rid of them is by trimming, and you have to do it quick before the split goes all the way to the root. Products that claim to mend split ends are lying, what they do is disguise the problem with a special conditioner that makes the split ends 'stick' together without actually healing them. Once you get a trim, use hydrating and repairing products to prevent split ends, pro naturals argan oil is great at this and makes your hair stronger, I use it all the time.

I found out about coconut oil, you can use it on skin as a moisturizer and it is suppose to reduce the appearance of cellulite and help mend split ends. Try it!!
