Lorac is difintely good.
It makes the shadow colors really pop... When I went to buy my eyeshadow primer, I swatched each one in the store and Lorac definitely made the colors appear the most out of all them.
Tarte came in second, and Urban Decay came in third.
For oily lids I believe Miss Jacqueline recommends LimeCrimes eye primer.

I like the UD Primer Potions Sin & Eden.
I use Sin for shimmer shadows & Eden for matte shadows. I find that the Primer Potions don't add as much vibrancy to the shadows, but they do help a lot with creasing & longevity c:

Hi ladies! Which eyeshadow primer would you recommend and why? I have a little bottle of urban decay's primer potion and I love it, but I want to try too faced's primer shadow insurance, thoughts? xx

For me, UD original PP is my #1. Too Faced was okay. I remember wearing it to school once, I came home and it had creased and my eyeshadow was literally gone. Like it was not on my eyelid. 😂 very strange!

I love shadow insurance way more. It just makes the colors pop more and makes my eye makeup last longer than when I used urban decay.

I have been using too faced shadow insurance for so long, and I LOVE it. I have the original one and the candle light one. the original just hold the shadow all day the candle light one adds so much more pigment to the shadows its amazing.

I prefer UD's over TFSI. Do you like really silky primers with a silicone feel? Thats what TFSI feels like. I prefer the tackier feel to the UDPP. I also second what Kitty said. The LORAC Behind the Scenes eyeshadow primer is excellent. It comes with their Pro Palettes but I'm sure you could buy it separately.

Wow so much good reviews! Thank you girls, I think I'm going to get both of them, and then get Lorac next time! Getting both of them because UD makes the shadow stays longer and TF makes the eyeshadow appear more vibrant! Thank you so so much!

I have both and have used both a lot.. They feel like the exact same thing to me. I can't even pick out which one is better than the other they are so similar.

Shadow Insurance works like a dream. My cheap and expensive shadows stay put all day, even through being blasted with 200 degree steam from the dishwasher at work.
