Ohh I have the same haircut!
I style it in the following
- straighten it but at the ends curl them in
- curl it with a wand and then mess up the curls with my fingers or brush through them (natural waves)
- curl them in big sections with a flat iron
- braid over night (another way for natural waves)
- put it up in a ponytail with my bangs down!

Hi Ciorana, I'm thinking about getting ombré highlights. Is getting a haircut the only way to get rid of them when the ombré starts to grow out?

I meant to say: is getting a haircut the only way to get rid of the ombré when it starts to grow out.

I have friends that dyed their hair dark to cover the ombré ends and also a friend just got highlights from the roots and it looks so nice what she has left from the ombré. I cut my end because I felt that the weren't in good conditions ( they were too dry)

@Renay T. I will try to braid them over night. But so far the hair does not hold the waves as it used to before...I do have curl it with the wand or flat iron and in 2 hours my hair looks like I just rolled out of bed..

What product do you use in your hair? Maybe you use too much and make the hair too heavy?
I like braids (half ups) with hair that length, but curls would've been my go to thing too

@buttrcup x. The first time I did use 10 in one deep conditioner and them redken blow out cream...as I always do since I dyed my hair... But it felt greasy so the second time I used shampoo and add a bit of leave in just in the end ( some thing I did before I dyed my hair)

Use Not your Mom's hair texturing beach waves spray but first braid all your hair then spray it in.

That shouldn't be too much product :/ maybe you used too much hairspray...
Have you tried not blow drying your hair before curling it or would that make your hair lay weird (because blow drying usually makes it more sleek and then you already used heat and it's apparently harder to make the curls stay then)
What might help is putting the curls up when you have taken them off the wand and just pin them to your head until they cool off
My hairdresser told me that curls made with a straightener also hold the curl better
Maybe these things would work (also I noticed I've gone slightly off topic - sorry about that)

My hair grows quite fast so I'm hoping that in a few weeks it will get better. The bangs helps to look more put together when a have a ponytail.
