I'm on birth control for many reasons.. One of them being acne... It's not bad but hey anything that will 'help' right?
I've noticed that the first 2 weeks of pills my skin is awful - breaking out like no tomorrow - and the next 2 weeks are just fine and I find my skin is almost perfect... WHY what is happening to me!!?

The first 2 weeks your skin was "purging" 😊 If you need me to explain further , just ask 💜

Please do!

Purging is defined as a worsening of your current skin condition. Which means if you have clogged pores , they may turn into pimples & active acne. If you have small pimples, they may turn into bigger, nastier pimples. It generally takes 2 to 6 weeks to subside. Then, your skin usually starts to get better from there 😊

It sounds like you've made it through the "purging" stage to me 💜

Plus, your system needs at least 3 months to adjust to a new birth control, so just give it a little time, and it should stabilize.
