Ugh so I changed my nose ring to a hoop 2 or 3 days ago now but it still hurts so bad and it gets little crust around it on the top hole of my nose and it like dries into place. And I always thought your are supposed to move it around every now and than but someone told me you aren't supposed to touch it. But it's like stuck and I'm scared it might grow over the piercing or something. Idk if I can see a little bump beside it or I'm just paranoid ! Haha help! I clean it so much though trying to keep it clean and make it not infected or any problems !

When I had a Monroe done, it did that all the time. My piercer said not to mess with it, but of course I did because like you said it seemed to be growing over the piercing. I would suggest to just keep cleaning it, and cleaning off the crud and see if it doesn't mellow out on its own, but if it doesn't I wouldn't hesitate to go back to the parlor you got it done at and ask them for advice.

It always had that crust thing for awhile for me no matter how much i cleaned it. It goes away eventually. And i moved mine around.

Get Bactine from Walmart or any drugstore. It's a great product for piercings. It has antiseptic properties and kills germs. You can use a cotton swab to apply the product around the piercing; or pretty much saturate the area around the piercing. I used this with my stubborn navel piercing everytime it got infected and it never failed me!

Sea salt and water mixture... It will clear up the crusties...I used this on all my piercings... Usually most peircers will give you a saline solution...at least all mines did

I got little crusty on my belly button ring the piercer told me it was normal when I got it so I expected it. He suggested I get Clair's ear solution which I did I still got the crusties but it never got infected and I just cleaned it two to three times a day.

You could possibly have a metal allergy.

salt water soaks. mine sometimes goes a bit sore and stuff when I swap jewellery over and I've had mine for years. salt water soaks, stop fiddling and worrying and it'll sort itself. don't worry unless it starts to swell and discharge pus

I get it every time I attempt to put a different noes ring in and it gets on my nerves. And I move mine around everyday because if I don't it hurts to change it and take it out. But like the others said try the sea salt method it helps heal it and dry up the infection. And like Sarah said with the swelling and the pus it happened to me the first time I changed my nose ring because I irritated it so much that it got infected. I hate cork screw nose rings so much lol.

Sea salt and water definitely helps and is good for disinfecting it. The crusties are normal too, I've had them on all my piercings except the ones inside my mouth. Clean it 2 to 3 times a day and you should be fine. And just remove the crusties as they come along. They'll go away once it heals entirely =]
