Clear or lightly tinted lipglosses, absolutely. My mom wouldnt let me wear makeup when I was in middle school (although I would sometimes sneak some to school and put it on once I was there), but lipgloss was always fine with her, and I tend to take my cues from what she thinks is appropriate =)

Lip Smackers are great, and Maybelline and Covergirl have some nice fruity ones. I would keep it lightly colored or clear though.
