So, I just got some professional dye and developer from Sallys. I am wonderimg if you're supposed to just rinse it out with warm water after it processes for the 30 minutes or if I should shampoo also. Thanks in advance!

I would rinse it with cold water and wait to shampoo it or use a color safe shampoo.

When I've dyed my friends hair with Sally's dyes I usually rinse all the colour out really well and condition, shampooing usually drys out your hair even more. Boxed dyes also come in a set with only conditioner if that helps verify most of the time from experience you'd only use conditioner. (Fair notice though the next time you wash your hair some dye will come out because conditioner isn't really going to clean it all out)

Ok, you want to shampoo it out. I've been doing hair for 13 years and ALWAYS shampoo each color out UNLESS it is semi permanent. with most colors, water stops the action of the color but you do not want to leave any residue on the scalp or hair that can create irritation or burns.

Kelly V. Is right. It use to be you couldn't even buy color at Sally 's unless you had a professional license.
