So I've been a bleach blond all summer and I am ready to grow out my hair to its natural color. I dyed it with a loreal ferria "cool medium brown" and it is now gray. I just want a nice medium brown but I'm not exactly sure how to neutralize it. Also don't want to spend a ton of money.

Well I like to use revlon colorsilk. It's very good and very affordable. And I honestly think that whatever color you decide to dye it will work. But wait awhile before you dye it again.

The garnier line of hairdyes I've always found the best at staining the hair and being long lasting. I've just dyed my hair too from a platinum to what the box said would be "lightest golden brown" and it came out lots lighter then it looked while it was in my hair. But dying it again would probably fix it :)

I would really try to go to a sally beauty supply store and ask them what they suggest. I would get 20developer, a squeeze bottle, a pair of gloves and a color you like. I would suggest going a bit darker and buying a small bottle of neutral protein filler. Leave it on 20 minutes then keep checking. You can use equal parts color and developer but ask the person at the store. Make sure to DEEP condition after. If you choose not to do this I would buy any decent box dye that is a few shades darker and warmer.

You're bleach blonde was most likely cool toned (not brassy) so dying it with a cool brown would emphasize the coolness. Try a neutral or warm toned brown. It'll neutralize the cool/grey toned hair. I'd suggest using a dye from Sally's as they are named "cool/neutral/warm" which most box dyes I find are not.
