What's the difference between Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid & Tea Tree Oil? Which one works better for pimples/cyst acne?

Maressa H.
It depends on the person. You really just have to see what works for you.

I've been using tea tree oil and I feel like it has done absolutely nothingggggg for my acne and it's bugging me, I feel like there's nothing that can get rid of my acne anymore. :(

Benzoyl peroxide works best for under the skin pimples, and salicylic acid for the surface ones. I find that tea tree oil doesn't work for me.

Tea tree oil is antiseptic so it should only work on bacterial acne
If it didn't work for you it means you've got a different type

You should go to a dermatologist if you feel nothing has worked for you :-) that's what I'm doing this week.

Suzy is right. Tea tree oil helps with bacteria. when I pop a pimple?? I put some tea tree oil on it to help against infection. Benzoyl Peroxide is in most acne treatments. Salicylic acid is in many face washes and in some face creams. All three can cause skin to become flaky and dry. especially tea tree oil. so don't forget to moisturise. tea tree oil can be used for different purposes. on skin, small cuts or wounds, also as a mouth wash. Read what the bottle says before though. If you have acne or pimples go to you dermatologist.
