Hi ladies, the title pretty much says it all. Suggestions/recommendations for cleansing balms for oily skin please?
Thanks in advance! :)

Clinique Cleansing Balm...works well on my oily/combo skin. But my fave isnt a balm but a cleansing oil...Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil. I will say that I do double cleanse if using an oil because I learned that that it leaves a slight film over the skin keeping my serums from penetrating into my skin. Not even toner can break up the film unless its alcohol based. So I follow up with a second cleanser to remove that film. I've been sampling Eve Lom with the muslin cloth and so far so good but it contains mineral oil so any day now I'm waiting for my skin to say "screw you" and breakout but no issues yet and its been a week so far.

I completely agree with Shelley after oil cleaning to remove makeup I cleanse regularly because the oil left on your skin will prevent your serums from going as deep , I use origins cleansing oil.

I'm combo I go from dry all the way to oily depending on the environment/season..

I use garnier cleansing oil to remove makeup orrrrr if my skin feels dry.. I put it on. let it for a min the. wash rinse off n wash off with a cleanser of choice. it really is necessary to get all that oil off. if left behind my skin felt too heavy. I didn't even serum not penetrating etc. learn something everyday. :)

Thanks Shelley, Traci & Naomi :)
@ Shelley: I've seen some amazing reviews about the Clinique balm. Please keep us updated about the Eve Lom cleanser, I hear it's hate/love with that one. Have you ever tried the Emma Hardie amazing face moringa cleansing balm?

@Sandy...you make a valid point. So its not silly. ;) Oil removes oil...such as yucky debris that come to the surface of the skin and it breaks up stubborn makeup (such as mascara). For myself it has actually decreased minor breakouts that I used to get sometimes by double cleansing.

And really the purpose of oil cleansing is to remove excess oil and makeup once it's done it job the only benefit you get from leaving the residue behind is a more moisturized face and if your using serums and a night cream it's really unnecessary oil and water do not mix your water based serums will just sit on top of the layer of oil on your skin , and oil cleansing doesn't work for all skin types so it's a good way to try it without taking chance that the oils will break you out.
