So I have been fake tanning for years (in a bed sometimes but mostly lotions and stuff) and I recently have to stop due to some skin issues. since I'm used to being tan I feel like now with my pale skin I almost look sick. I have very yellow skin and no matter how warm shadows are they seem to pull cooler tones on me which I think might be making me feel like it looks worse. is there any tips or anything you guys think I could try makeup wise to help with this?

Yes its almost like my skin is too yellow so any lip color or eye shadow I use looks very cool toned which always has been the case but now because I'm so pale the contrast is so much more intense if that makes sense.

Exactly! which on my tanner skin tone I was fine with but now that I'm pale I feel like it makes look sick. my mom thinks it's probably because I'm so used to seeing myself the other way I'm just not used to it yet which could be the case so I was hoping someone had suggestions of either super warm shadows or maybe to try something lighter or basically anything to try so I don't feel self conscious about looking sick.

I'm really pale too and I find that using a good, subtle blush makes all the difference in the world. If I don't have blush on no matter how good the rest of my makeup is I end up look washed out and ill. I also dust a small amount of bronzer (I use benefit's hoola) on the tops of my cheek bones and down the center of my forehead and nose and blend it with the blush and that helps a lot to give me a warmer look.

I used to spray tan all the time but my skin randomly started freaking out and I got little bumps everywhere and I guess I developed a skin condition that makes my skin SUPER sensitive like my hair touching me or clothing seat belts basically anything can cause my skin to itch and then I'll get a patch of eczema basically so I can only use certain products on my skin now.

Thanks Melissa I'll try that! And don't worry Rachel I didn't get it from tanning so you should be good (:

Try using a skin correcting foundation/primer to make your skin look less sallow, I think the shade that corrects yellow skin is Lavender, so try a lavender shade primer.

But then it won't match the rest of my body because all of me has yellow undertone.
