It seems I'm on the hunt for a lot of products this week lol. Can anyone suggest a good contour powder for my tan face skin lol? I currently have thebalms Bahama mama and two faced chocolate soleil in medium deep. I think I need something darker than those.

I have the NYC sunny bronzer as well. I do like it a lot!! It's definitely my go to. I'm looking for something darker.

I think if your willing to spend the money, Kevyn Aucoin's The Sculpting Powder would be a good investment. I have not tried it myself, but I've been on the hunt for a true contour powder for a while and this is my choice. It has a very undertone that mimics shadow, something a bronzer cannot do. I plan on buying it next week actually! I can't wait. Anyway, that's my two pennies ;)

Does it only come in the one shade? I think it may be perfect I just wanna make sure there aren't more options.

Yes, it's only one shade, but I think the undertone is what will make the difference you're looking for vs. a darker shade of a bronzer. From what I understand, the shade is pretty universal.

No prob tho :) I hope it helps, also MAC has some sculpting powders and Smashbox, Anastasia, and MUFE have contour pallets with true sculpting powders as well, plus you get highlights along with them.

I suggest the nars bronzing powder. I think they have it in 3 shades and I've heard they're amazing for contouring.

I just asked Ms Jacqueline for a contour powder for myself a she recommended me Mac blunt along with a few others I got it and it works great but I'm not sure if it to dark for you I would ask her opinion thou.

I've been wanting to dabble with a more extreme contour these days. More dramatic! Really edge out my cheekbones! What to you think Traci?
Sep 5, 2014
Traci L.
Well it's definitely dark enough for that it might work I'm not sure if just a dark foundation would work too.
