I never painted my hair but if you don't want to dye you whole hair you paint the end of you hair

Depends how you're doing it. Will you be bleaching? What sort of purple dye will you be using, etc.

Start with the tips like Andrea said to see who you like it... I've dyed my ends and it became dry since my bleached it to get an ombré effect but you can always go to a Salon and see their opinion

I just went purple and I love it. Make sure you get permanent dye and wash your hair every other day or else you'll wash out all the color.

My friend did it & if it rained it went all over her shirt. if she wet it at all it went everywhere, & she has hair like you too :) be careful if you do it!
