I've been told that toner strips the oil from your face, but I've also been told that it evens out your skin tone...what does it actually do? :-)

Following this! I've been using a toner the last few weeks for the first time and my skin seems to have gotten worse. I don't know what it's doing but I'd like to know lol.

It's not meant to strip the oil or really help with skin tone, it balances out your PH levels in your skin after using face washes and other products than can offset it. If you use one with alcohol then it will dry out out your skin and that's not something anyone wants,

If it has alcohol in it it can not be the best for your skin so using a alcohol free toner is best :) and it does what Jenny and Ashley said :)

It balanced your ph PH levels and before you put on moisturizer so your face can take in all the moisture :)
