How can I properly blend my shadows without a blending brush?

get creative... a clean (brand new!) sponge , or a little makeup sponge (the mind that come with eye shadow), a cleaned old paint brush from an art set, tissue, fingers, an old super soft cloth ...

I have a blending brush and it's just the target brand and it was only like $4.... You could find lots of cheap blending rushes at a drugstore, so you should try to get one, it's your best bet.
