Bug bite on my face!

Hi! So I don't know if this thread is allowed or not but, I have a bug bite on my face ( yes I am for sure that it is a bug bite) and I wanted to know if you guys knew any ways to get rid of it? Also would it be okay to put makeup over it?

Wash it with soap and water and put ice on it to reduce swelling. I'm sure there are some home remedies you could look up but the easiest way to get rid of it is to just not itch it and leave it alone as it will go away soon. you should be fine to put makeup over it 😊

Tea tree oil helps. Also when you're in the shower spraying some hot water directly on it will bring all the histamines to the surface, causing it to itch like crazy for a few minutes, but afterwards you'll be itch free for a good 15 hours or so.

I agree with the other ladies advice. You could also try alcohol free witch hazel or this stuff called Caladryl that come in a pink bottle. The Caladryl has worked wonders for me in the past drying out bug bites. It is a combination of calamine and benadryl so it really helps to sooth the itch and clear it up at the same time. I wouldn't wear makeup over the Caladryl though since it dries kind of pink and flaky, I usually apply it before bed and wash it off in the morning. Good luck, hope it heals quickly.
